OSSGA President Moving On to New Challenges
After more than nine years as president of the Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (OSSGA), Carol Hochu advised the OSSGA Board of Directors October 24, 2008 that she will be leaving the association effective December 12, 2008 to serve as the new and first executive director of the Ontario Electronic Stewardship beginning December 15, 2008.

"Carol's leadership, energy and commitment to our association and our issues has been significant," said Bruce Semkowski, chairman of the OSSGA Board of Directors. "She is held in the highest regard by the board, members, staff and external stakeholders. Carol will be sorely missed," concluded Semkowski.

Hochu looks back on her time at the OSSGA as "very fulfilling."

"I'm proud of my contributions to OSSGA's success," said Hochu, adding: "What I value and will miss the most are the relationships I have built with volunteer leaders, members, and the incredibly talented staff team with whom I have had the pleasure of working with over the years."

The OSSGA Executive Committee has begun the process to search for a suitable replacement.
