New OSSGA Environment & Resources Manager Named
Jessica Annis will be joining the OSSGA as the new Environment & Resources Manager, effective November 17, 2008.

Jessica is currently the Director of Environmental Policy at BILD (Building Industry and Land Development Association). BILD is the new name of the amalgamation of the Urban Development Institute and Greater Toronto Home Builders Association.

Previously, Jessica was Senior Policy Advisor at BILD, and prior to that, Senior Policy Advisor at Urban Development Institute.

She is experienced in monitoring and analyzing emerging legislation and policy, including the Endangered Species Act, Lake Simcoe Act and a host of others; drafting briefing notes and presentations; providing advice on land-use issues; preparing written submissions to government; and providing staff support to a number of BILD committees.

Jessica has a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning Degree from Ryerson University. She is a member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and currently a member of a number of government committees, including the Lake Simcoe Environmental Management Strategy (LSEMS) Working Group, Ontario Biodiversity Council, CTC Source Protection Committee, and Species at Risk Program Advisory Committee (SARPAC), to name a few.

The OSSGA is confident Jessica will make a great addition to the staff team and looks forward to welcoming her onboard.
